Genevieve Found!

Thank you all for your continued dedication to this case.  At this point I am excited to say that the mysterious disappearance of Genevieve Tillbrook has been solved.  A big thank you to Katy Boyd for putting together the final pieces that ultimately helped crack this case.

I will share more information about what happened in the coming days.

Who is Heidi?

I am still trying to figure out who exactly Heidi is and what her relation to this case is.  She seems to be a friend of the family and someone that Genevieve trusted.  Perhaps Heidi holds more answers.

In an effort to bring more clarity to this case, I have gone back through all of the documents that have been uncovered.  I am looking for any sort of pattern or any clues we may have over looked.  I feel like there is a lot of information out there.  It's just a matter of putting together all of the pieces.

  • First there were the three password protected documents that were cracked.
    • The first was a diary entry written by Genevieve making a direct reference to the necklace that started this whole search
    • The second was a newspaper article about a business merger between the fathers of Genevieve and Charles
    • The third was fire arm bill of sale indicating that Charles had purchased a gun
  • Next was the postcard from Genevieve to her mother proclaiming her unhappiness
  • The sections of the seal eventually formed a full picture with a hidden web address revealing an unused plane in Genevieve's name from New York to Paris dated two weeks after Genevieve's disaperance
  • There was then an article about Genevieve speaking to a group of young school children and an associated video with a bunch of weird numbers
  • Next was a map of Trinity's campus with different parking lots circled
  • There was the deposit slip that showed that Genevieve had deposited $15,000 to a bank in Moulton, TX
  • There was what appeared to be a piece of a newspaper article that surfaced
  • And most recently we have the letters between Genevieve's mom and Heidi
Based on all of this information, I have formulated three possible theories:

  1. Genevieve, unhappy in her marriage, ran away, perhaps on her own accord or perhaps with the aid of someone else
  2. Charles, after finding out about his wife's unhappiness, snapped and killed her
  3. Genevieve's father killed her and covered it up in an effort to protect his business venture with Charles's father
I feel like we are only a couple pieces away from solving this case.  Keep your eyes open.  It is more imperative now than ever.

Letters

While taking a break from analyzing the deposit slip, I uncovered some interesting letters.  They appear to be a brief correspondence between Genevieve's mother and a family friend.  At this point, I don't know the extent of the relationship with this person or their involvement, if any, in this case.  The letters do seem to indicate, however, that Genevieve wasn't exactly keeping her unhappiness a secret, although her mother was trying to do so.  In reference to Genevieve's unhappiness in her marriage, her mother says "we are doing everything we can to take care of it."  Somewhat of an ominous statement.  Who is "we" and to what extent did they "take care of it?"  Take a look at the letters yourself below:

More to the deposit slip

I have been trying make sense of the deposit slip for the past week now.  I tried tracing the money to see where it came from but had no luck.  Why did Genevieve go to Moulton, Texas to deposit this money?  I think there are more answers to uncover in this deposit slip.  I am going to keep focusing my attention on this 10 digit account number and see if it leads me anywhere.

Deposit Slip

On my continued quest for evidence I came across this:

It appears to be a deposit slip filled out in Genevieve's name for the amount of $15,000.  The money was deposited just two days before Genevieve's disappearance.  I found the slip in an envelope marked Bank of Moulton.  I looked up Moulton, and found out it is a small town about 100 miles east of San Antonio.  Why would Genevieve have gone all the way to Moulton to deposit a check?  Was she doing it secretly?  Where did this large sum of money come from?  Was she using it to run away?  I continue to strongly believe that Genevieve may have had the ultimate role in her own disappearance; however, a part of me still believes there were other people at play.  I still can't explain her husband's role in her disappearance and am not convinced that her father's business merger might not have influenced him in some way.

I am also still working on this map.  Some of you pointed out that the marked locations are parking lots.  Does anyone know they significance of those lots?  I can't seem to find any.

Map

I was looking through some old evidence files when I came across an interesting map.  It seems to be a modern map of Trinity's campus.  I am not sure how a modern map made its way into an evidence file, but it seems to have some directions on it, so I was intrigued.  Does anyone know the significance of the circled locations on the map?
