My name is Jay Chambers.
I am an independent investigative journalist based in San Antonio, TX. Ever since I was a child, I have been curious
and inquisitive- always snooping and poking around; looking to solve the great
neighborhood mysteries like who destroyed Mrs. Kennedy’s rose plant or what
happened to Mr. Gordon’s toupee. I guess
it was only natural that I turned those “annoying” (as my sister called them)
traits into a career that I love. To me,
investigative journalism is like a puzzle.
The complete picture, the full story- it’s out there somewhere. It’s just a matter of finding all the pieces
and putting them together in the right order.
In doing so, you can uncover something earth-shattering. You can take down a corrupt regime; you can
shed light on an intricate drug ring; you can help give a voice to the
voiceless. It is these moments that I
live for.
“Journalism will kill you, but it will keep you alive while you’re at it.”
– Horace Greeley
